After 2 months of fantastic honeymoon and new-city celebratory eating, we've been trying to reign in our food expenditures juuust a bit. I know cooking at home can be a great way to save, and right now I have plenty of extra time, so I thought I'd give "homecooked delicious" a try! My first menu consisted of orange-glazed chicken, caramelized onion & thyme tart, and carrot & fennel soup with black oil. Weighing in at just over $100 worth of groceries, this meal was absolutely delicious, but in no way "reigning it in". Time for a little help from my good friends bulk beans and bulk grains!
