We had a fabulously sunny fall day near Snoqualmie Pass on Saturday, exploring a new climbing area about an hour from our house (new to us, not new to the world). Most times when we’re on an exploratory mission, we plan for a short outing just to scope things out and see if it’s worth coming back, but the views were so amazing, and the routes were so interesting we ended up spending the whole day!
I also got to try out a new camera I’ve had my eye on for a while (especially since the Nikon is in the shop…. it had a sad run in with the kitchen floor, so my past few weeks of photos have all been form my phone). It’s not as spectacular as the Nikon, but I’m pretty impressed by how well the auto mode does for quick shots when I can’t fiddle with settings, which is especially handy for climbing.
