Cary’s in the UK on business for the next 3 weeks, so instead of staying home (alone and bored), I decided it would be good for me to visit the London office and then explore the UK countryside for 2 weeks.
Last time I traveled to London was for work, so I stayed near the office just a few blocks from St. Paul’s. It’s more of a business area, cool architecture but a bit boring at night. This time I picked out a spot just south of Notting Hill, surrounded by tons of cute streets and little pubs. It was also just a few minute walk from the Kensington Palace… not that we saw any royals, but it was fun to imagine them close by :)
On my one day not working, just exploring the city, I spent time shopping on Bond Street, and not buying anything because it was SOOOO expensive. My favorite part was walking around the Liberty London store, it’s been open in the same building for 150 years, making for a really interesting mix of luxury goods next to original woodwork and stained glass windows.
