With a bank holiday on Monday, Cary and I opted to go explore the countryside for a long weekend. We stayed in a little stone cottage just steps from the sea in a tiny town called Mousehole.
You can walk from one end of the village to the other in under 10 minutes, but there's an awesome beach in town and enough delicious restaurants and cute shops that you could totally spend a whole weekend just in the town... but Cary and I are folks who like to roam, so the major draw for us was the fact that Mousehole is directly on the South West Coast Path. It runs right through town (right past the cottage we stayed in!) so it made it super easy to pop out for a day of hiking.
The tide swings roughly 15 feet from low to high tide this time of year in the area, so it was wild to compare the Mousehole harbor in the morning before our hike vs. in the afternoon when we returned. It's like a totally different town when it's full of water!!
